Job Description
The Northern Trust Company seeks a Lead, Software Support to support critical trading, accounting, and reporting applications. Provide technical and functional support as Subject Matter Expertise (SME) to trading business partners and Provide L1/L2/L3 system Support on all workflows and designs to the supported applications. Collaborate with business partners to analyze and resolve their queries, problems, and requirements and provide high quality deliverables that comply with all controlled processes. Troubleshoot production issues including job failure and apply code fix as needed, ensure application stability with zero downtime, and work on continuous improvements to the application. Coordinate with various teams to resolve production issues within the service level agreements.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 7 years of progressively responsible experience with software design, development, testing, implementation, and production support. Experience must include a minimum of: 5 years of experience leading production support and maintenance teams; 5 years of experience working closely with product owners, business users, and other IT teams to elicit requirements; 5 years of experience working with third party product vendors; 5 years of experience with Capital Market and Asset Management, Charles River Investment Management System, client scripting technologies, Java/.Net, Oracle (PL/SQL), Spring MVC, SQL Server and Sybase (T-SQL), Unix shell scripting, and WebLogic app servers; 2 years of experience with Bitbucket, Bamboo, Eagle accounting system, and JIRA; and 1 year of experience in Coric reporting platform. Part time telecommuting may be permitted.
