Job Description
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Execute all required aspects of electrical engineering for project delivery using a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts; Oversee production team on specific projects; Lead multidisciplinary team for electrically focused project; Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting design requirements or difficult coordination; Lead, supervise, and mentor Designer level staff on all their responsibilities; Oversee development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and execution; Lead design team to produce construction documents and specifications with deep knowledge of Revit software and creation of electrical Revit families; Perform preliminary electrical load calculations based on owner project requirements; Perform coordination with other disciplines on all projects; Ensure firm’s engineering quality levels for the discipline on assigned projects are met; Perform projects within established project budgets and schedules; Act as integral design team member facilitating completion of project construction administration task including RFI and submittal review and response; Write studies and reports for Electrical systems on projects (short circuit analysis, arc flash studies etc.); Edit and develop basis of design narratives documenting project scope; Operate and/or have an understanding of lighting calculation and electrical power analysis software (i.e., AGI32, SKM Power Tools, and Energy Pro); Utilize expertise in specific Electrical requirements for applications within a market sector(s).
