The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake Forest, IL location in the Core Lab Division. Our diagnostic solutions are used in hospitals, laboratories, and clinics around the globe. The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments and informatics systems are often the first step in patient care decision making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.
As the Capital Project Analyst , you will serve as the liaison between project owners, project team members, Finance, and Division Engineering management to ensure capital and expense monthly and yearly business commitments are achieved, and guarantee an open and accurate communication of financial milestone achievements and any issues to be escalated for resolutions. You will identify areas for process improvements and defines/implements solutions serving as the key contact to disseminate the new process requirements to the organization.
What You’ll Work On
+ Serve as liaison between project owners, team members, Finance, and Division Engineering leadership on the source to pay process for annual commitments per the rLBE (rolling Latest Best Estimate) in SAP SRM, SAP ECC, and SAP Ariba
+ Develop and manage tracking process for project systems support (SAP systems) spend for Division Engineering
+ Provide business updates as needed regarding project level Source to pay status, risks, and decisions to be escalated to Sr. Management in a timely manner
+ Responsible for training and as needed Source to Pay processes for Core DX
+ Serve as the point of contact for facilitating monthly Division Engineering project level financial reporting and updates
+ Track and trend capital related metrics to ensure execution to annual Capital Plan authorizations and expenditures for the Division.
+ Monitors budget expenditures, identifies systemic problems, and makes recommendations for resolution.
+ Responsible for the building planning and capacity charts analysis; keeps in proper communication for ongoing building maintenance requirements along with safety, corporate facility groups, and any other groups as needed.
+ Implement process improvements solutions to support the division to achieve its long-term goals.
+ Understands business environment aptitude to gain knowledge of internal and external technological activities to trends
+ Adapts to changing business strategies and adjusts planning and expenditure activities accordingly.
+ Must have proven ability to participate in team atmosphere, exhibit and create a sense of appropriate urgency and maintain working relationships, with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to leadership.
+ Complies with U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, other quality and regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelors Degree in Business or Technical discipline, OR an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
+ Proven working experience in product development, project management and/or business process implementation
Preferred Qualifications
+ Comprehensive knowledge of a particular technological field. Uses in-depth knowledge of business unit functions and cross group dependencies/ relationships. Will perform this job in a quality system environment. Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
+ Experience in medical devices and / or pharmaceutical is a plus.
+ Knowledge of industry best practices and performance metrics, as well as financial and capital project acumen.
+ Experience in working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment independently within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Has broad knowledge of various technical alternatives and their potential impact on the business. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives
+ Demonstrated skills in collaborating and influencing cross-functionally.
+ Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
+ Operations experience.
+ Lean experience.
+ Experience in SAP platforms (SRM, Ariba).
+ Experience working in a regulated industry.
+ Capital project experience.

The base pay for this position is $71,300.00 – $142,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
