Hybrid remote, preferably within a commutable distance to our Chicago, IL office.
Restoration Field Coordinator (Level II)
The Restoration Field Coordinator position is responsible for fully understanding construction project plans and specifications, being knowledgeable of safety requirements and identifying potential concerns, understanding the contractor quality control requirements while providing quality assurance oversight, field quantity tracking, and recording of units and related project documentation into the system of record.
Position Function, Duties, and Responsibilities:
Participate in field site review(s) prior to the start of construction and/or the start of restoration activities
Verify all documentation is available for the start of construction (e.g. pre-construction photographs, permits, issued for construction drawings, MOUs, MOT, etc.) and understand the project requirements
Review the restoration cost estimate and identify potential variances on an ongoing basis
Identify restoration activity change, quantify the magnitude of the change in terms of units, and provide appropriate backup documentation to the Restoration Construction Project Manager
Understand the ability to modify proposed restoration activities on construction drawings and identify variances
Monitor the status of potential MOUs throughout the project and inform the Restoration Construction Project Manager of scheduling impacts
Understand the intent of Company unit items and designate work activities as incidental and appropriate
Provide field oversight of restoration activities in a quality assurance role and ensure that the Contractor fulfills their quality control responsibilities
Record completed restoration units daily into the Company system of record
Collect daily photographs to document the progress of work as well as any potential concerns
Assist with schedule and cost forecast updates as needed

Provides daily work direction to team members / co-workers while performing own job; may contribute to planning, work scheduling and minor decision-making regarding work methods. May provide feedback on team member/co- worker performance to immediate supervisor.

Description:
Typically resolves straightforward problems or problems that have routine solutions; limited independent discretion; Operates under direct supervision of the Restoration Construction Project Manager and/or the Manager of Special Projects.
Minimum Experience Required:
1+ years
Standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) to generate reports, create pertinent documentation and supply information to relevant parties.
1+ years
Experience in interpreting and applying construction design specifications.
1+ years
Staging projects, or assigning and completing tasks as part of a project team.
Qualifications:
Degree:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Area of Study:
Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
Certifications:
IDOT PCC/HMA and ACI certifications preferred
