What you will be doing?
The Engineering Manager is responsible for leading their team in the successful delivery of final product. The incumbent will manage, mentor, coach and provide leadership to the product delivery team responsible for building, managing, and supporting the product. Partner with various stakeholders both within and outside of IT to promote open lines of communication and adherence to SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) standards and processes.
Job role and responsibilities:
Manage resources on an agile engineering team consisting of Software Engineers, Test Engineers and Business Analyst
Hire, nurture, energize and retain the best talent
Coach staff to have a growth mindset, operate efficiently at a sustained pace and become self-organized team members
Focus on individual and team's competence development needs
Lead by example and empower and uplift your staff by being a servant leader
Work with Scrum Masters to identify and resolve roadblocks that cannot be addressed within the team
Work with Business Owners, Product Owners and Architects to identify future work in order to help set up the teams for success
Lead the team on key engineering disciplines such as MultiPlan I/O (A more modern, autonomous, event-driven, composable and observable architecture), DevSecOps pipeline automation and cloud adoption where possible
Participate in practice groups with the intent of ensuring that the team adhere to them with respect to Technology, Quality, and Process
Understand functional area and provide leadership: Review product capabilities, sustainability, and stability with a goal to inform business stakeholders and senior management and recommend potential solutions
Responsible for triaging production issues with Incident Management Group
Responsible for administrative duties related to reporting staff such as, performance reviews, salary administration, etc.
