What You'll Do:
Design, implement, and monitor databases, schemas, tables, and associated data objects, with a focus on optimizing performance and efficiency.
Designing, creating, and implementing regular maintenance procedures to ensure the stability and reliability of the database clusters.
Establish guidelines, standards, and procedures for database management and integration of systems through effective database design.
Leverage AWS design principles, data access patterns, and relevant AWS services to enhance the efficiency and performance of the database management process.
End-to-end platform support, infrastructure issues troubleshooting, installation and configuration of applications, platform version upgrades, fixing vulnerabilities in co-ordination with vendors, incident management and change management, working with multiple infrastructure teams and vendors for RCA and Remediation for P1/P2/P3 incidents.
Responsible for supporting the platform primarily during US CST time zone by following a rotational support roaster.
Responsible for platform high availability, devising and executing on the DR strategy.
Provide support for Application development & Production teams.
What you'll Need:
Strong expertise in AWS RedShift database administration, including cluster management and optimization.
Strong experience with AWS Services - S3, Athena, IAM, CLI, EC2, Glue, Lambda, Sagemaker, LakeFormation.
Hands on experience with troubleshooting performance issues and implement best practices.
Ability to understand ETL pipelines and BI reporting needs.
Build integrations with Identity providers - Ping, Okta etc.
Strong SQL skills
Advanced knowledge and experience in the development of Python or Linux Shell scripting in combination with d.
Working knowledge of DevOps best practices.
Expertise in Data Governance & Security - Data Encryption, Redshift User Roles & Groups, Role Based Data Access Controls (row level data security), IAM integration, AWS Security Groups, AWS Cloud Watch event monitoring.
Advanced knowledge and experience in maintenance of Metadata repositories such as AWS Glue Catalog, Glue crawler for data stored in: S3, AWS Redshift, AWS RDS for access thru Redshift Spectrum
Good to have - AWS Certified Solution Architect
Experience handling patches and fixing vulnerabilities.
Experience in Agile and DevOps development process
Maintain regular communication with users regarding best practices, policies, procedures, and scheduled maintenance.
Documents and maintain work-instructions, complete audit required tasks.
