Job Description
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Patent Prosecution Paralegal in Chicago to join a nationally recognized law firm. This is a full time, non-exempt position, full benefits, and competitive compensation (ranging from $80K- $110K).Required Skills and Job Duties include the following:
- Demonstrate and apply in-depth knowledge of patent filing and prosecution practices in the USPTO, PCT, and major jurisdictions worldwide.
- Stay up-to-date with current patent laws and practices.
- Monitor, maintain, and clear dockets for due dates and prepare reminders to attorneys and clients as needed.
- Coordinate and interact effectively with attorneys, clients, and other patent paralegals and specialists on domestic and international patent matters.
- Compose correspondence to attorneys and clients regarding all aspects of patent prosecution.
- Review and process incoming correspondence from USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associates.
