Title: Production Engineering Manager - Automotive Parts
Location: Bloomingdale, IL
Work hour: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
Salary: $100K-$120K


A Tier 1 automotive metal parts manufacturer is currently seeking a Production Engineering Manager. In this role, the main focus is on reviewing efficiencies and reducing waste within current and future manufacturing processes through the implementation of new projects. It is expected that this position will require approximately 30-50% travel.
Responsibilities:
Establishing KPIs for processes to ensure that objectives are met, including plan versus actual.

Implementing and maintaining production systems to meet safety, quality, efficiency, and cost requirements on time.
Providing technical inputs for new business and facilitating successful outcomes.
Communicating with international HQ, local suppliers, and entities for technical and cost negotiations.
Coordinating the search for new tooling suppliers.
Managing materials for trials in collaboration with the purchasing department.
Driving validation plans to ensure robust and comprehensive technology solutions.
Staying current and up to date on any technology changes that may affect manufacturing design and development processes.
Monitoring the completion of tasks and ensuring good performance and accurate record-keeping on appropriate systems.
Monitoring and coaching the department team to achieve operational success.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years of production engineering leadership experience required.

Experience in Stamping and/or Welding parts production is required.

Six sigma or TPS certifications preferred.
May travel 30-50% by automotive and/or airplane.
