The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is seeking an experienced candidate with previous FP&A experience who possess a high level of critical thinking skills and a proactive work ethic to join our Finance team. The role is responsible for supporting key aspects of the financial performance of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago Association in accordance with the strategies and policies of the Board of Trustees, President, and Senior Management. The Senior Analyst role must support an association-wide culture that brings financial literacy to all departments and the administration. This position will report to the Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis.

Scope of Responsibilities:
Supports the Association-wide annual budgeting process, including developing budget templates, consolidating operational inputs, and providing reporting which is ultimately reviewed with the Senior Leadership Team and Board of Directors.
Develops Association-wide monthly financial reports and analysis for cross-functional stakeholders to help provide insights as to performance and improvement opportunities.
Performs timely variance reports; researches and proposes resolutions to ensure reasonableness and accuracy.
Provides accounting and analysis support by reviewing financial information, financial performance, and financial and operational trends. Supports the development and monitoring of operational benchmarking measures and targets for the YMCA lines of business.
Supports the VP of FP&A to ensure the integrity of the financial statements by running analytical reports prior to closing and coordinating resolution of exceptions with appropriate individuals.
Build productive and collaborative relationships with the Operational and FP&A leaders.
Support YMCA CFO and VP of FP&A to drive broader company-wide initiatives.
Prepare ad hoc analysis for YMCA leadership and the Board of Directors. Demonstrate strong critical thinking skills in preparing and communicating meaningful and insightful analysis.
Ability to establish credibility throughout the Association and the Senior Leadership Team as an effective problem solver and trusted advisor.
Be viewed as approachable and a mentor to staff in financial issues.

Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor or the person responsible for those items at your site.
Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to managing visitors and guests at our facilities.
Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
Completing all child abuse prevention training as required.
All other duties as assignedMinimum and Required Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Finance or Accounting
3 to 5 years of FP&A experience
Decision making skills along with strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Proven skill in converting detailed financial analysis into digestible presentations
Strong Microsoft excel skills
