MATERNAL CHILD - PEDIATRICS/PICU - STROGER HOSPITAL - CHICAGO, IL. SHIFT: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
The In-House Registry Nurse-Specialty is a professional care provider who is responsible and accountable for coordinating and providing safe, effective individualized nursing care to critically ill patients and supportive care to significant others. Assesses patient's needs and plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to established standards. These activities require nursing judgment based on application of scientific principles of nursing, critical thinking, problem solving and teaching/ learning. MULTIPLE VACANCIES
Must be licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Minimum of One (1) year of Pediatric nursing experience in an acute care setting
Minimum of Two (2) years of experience in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Must be able to obtain a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) card within Three (3) months of hire. (Must provide proof at time of interview if already obtained)
Must possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. (Must provide proof at time of interview)
Any NNOC member who responds and/or accepts this position will waive his/her right to the 60 (sixty) day trial period in accordance with Section 4.4(N) of the CBA as of the date of this posting.
