What You'll Do:
Work with multiple infrastructure teams to ensure platforms are properly vetted and documented thoroughly for operational readiness.
Identify enhancement opportunities to optimize existing processes via database technology improvements or enhanced automation technologies to reduce run-rate.
Support DB platforms with nights/weekend on-call responsibilities.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in computer science / Information System / Electronics Engineering or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with platforms like MongoDB / SQL Server / PostgreSQL
Proficient with query tools like Toad, AQT, MS SQL Studio, etc.
Proficient in database data migration tools ex: Data Pump / Export-Import
Strong knowledge of indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching
Comprehension of database performance tuning and security
Understanding of HA/DR strategies and approaches related to DB platforms.
Experience in navigating RHEL or other Unix platforms
Exposure to monitoring tools like New Relic, OEM, Idera, Mongo Ops Manager
Proficient with backup and restore utilities such as NetBackup, S3 specific to databases.
Able to troubleshoot automation scripts like Shell scripting, PL/SQL
Able to troubleshoot using basic Linux commands.
Knowledge of public cloud platforms like Azure / AWS needed.
Comprehension of the ITIL framework and process required.
What We Would Like:
AWS Cloud experience and practitioner certification desired.
ITIL Certification desired.
Formal DBA certification.
Passionate for helping others and providing excellent customer support to all types of users.
Must possess organizational proficiencies to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to problem solve atypical problems with critical thinking and analytic skills.
Possess a keen interest and have aptitude for learning new technologies within database technologies.
