The Opportunity
This position works out of our Lake County, IL locations in the Business Technology Services Division.
The IT Business Relationship Management will partner with the US Core Diagnostics Supply Chain leaders in executing the IT strategy and associated roadmap/fiscal planning. He or she will ensure that the IT portfolio enhances the organizational strategy for the sites through successful, consistent, and predictable delivery of programs, projects and applications that benefit the internal Supply Chain organizations and aligns with overall global IT strategy for Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Achieves this through a global IT demand organization which partners with the business, has excellent understanding of the business processes, and is aware of the evolution of technologies, and considers regulations relevant to the business area. Represent Abbott strategically in the industry and community.
What You’ll Work On
+ Partners closely with business leaders across a variety of US Supply Chain to drive the global Warehouse Management roadmap
+ Plans, develops and directs the IT BRM activities across the portfolio and aligns with OUS Supply Chain and Manufacturing lead to ensure global solutions are harmonized where necessary for Core Dx.
+ Manages processes, priorities, decisions, risks, and issues, as required.
+ Manages and recommends budgets.
+ Responsible for all aspects of people leadership.
+ Promotes a Global perspective, open to new ideas and supports those who initiate change and take risks.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Develops understanding of Supply Chain business processes, IT needs, and IT portfolios
+ Engages US site management to understand key business drivers, and aligns IT initiatives, to the extent possible, with these drivers
+ Collaborate with other parts of divisional IT, Corporate IT, and other staff departments, external partners and customers to ensure adequate and timely delivery of services, in line with agreed service levels.
+ Understand the specific challenges and opportunities linked to regulatory, legal, privacy, security and economic situations across US and business units. Partner with business leadership, IT peers and vendors to address these evolutions in the most efficient way.
+ Continually seek opportunities for revenue generation, cost reductions, and cost avoidance.
+ Support cross regional business initiatives and explore IT synergies and efficiencies.
+ Responsible for all aspects of people leadership for the US Supply Chain IT BRM team; setting expectations, coaching, developing, evaluating, feedback, hiring and performance management.
+ Champion change and innovation.
+ Manage issues, risks and decision making within effective time-frame and outcome.
+ Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
+ Aligns site IT organizations with IT strategic directions and site business requirements
+ Manages multiple programs and projects across the IT portfolio and has decision authority to enable success of program and projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration or another discipline relevant for the healthcare industry or equivalent experience.
+ 10-12 years of IT experience in large or mid-size multinational company.
+ Broad IT expertise in various disciplines; Supply Chain and Manufacturing experience a plus.
+ Experience leading teams – both direct and indirect.
+ Proven leadership skills, self-directed with strong work ethic.
+ Successfully managed large project portfolio with projects ranging from $5M-$75MM.
+ Strong organizational skills, including program/project governance, multi-vendor relationship and global presence
+ Strong influence and negotiating skills to build comprehensive business case and actionable roadmaps.
+ Proven experience and understanding of the complete software life cycle.
+ Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
+ Work effectively with all levels of management up to and including executive leadership.
+ Ability to collaborate with global business leads, understand business strategy/processes, look for innovative solutions to drive business enhancements both for internal business users and external customers.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Track record and business knowledge in regulated industry.
+ Experience leading large global programs (over $15M) with substantial executive presence
+ Experience driving high levels of organizational change
+ 10+ years or more of program management.
+ Previous strategy development experience.
+ Experience with multi-vendor management, Phase 0s, Statement of Work (SOW) and Request for Proposals (RFP) reviews.
+ Strong influence and negotiating skills.
+ Technology knowledge of the following disciplines a plus; Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), , Cloud Computing, Business Intelligence/Data Analytics, ERP and digital supply chain.

The base pay for this position is $136,000.00 – $272,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
