Job Description
Kelly Science & Clinical has a new temp-to-hire opportunity for a Lab Technician in Saint Charles, IL!
Shift: M-F 7am-5pm, half day Friday’s
D ay to Day Responsibilities:
+ Working in our Research and Development team to help formulate powder coat paint to customer specifications.
+ Main Tasks Color Matching Formulate using standard NAFTA formulations
+ Color matching and testing
+ Make color computer readings and color computer/visual corrections and adjustments
+ Set up of Lab Equipment
+ Operating and set-up of lab extruders
+ Cleaning and disassembling of lab equipment (changeover) from one run to another following the procedures set out by management i.e. (lockout procedure, clean down procedure)
+ Making Lab Samples Extrusion, grinding, and spraying of test samples
+ Making Metallic Lab Samples Operating and set up bonding mixers for running bonding trials
+ Continually monitor lab runs for quality and machine operation, notifying supervisor if abnormalities are noticed
+ Safety & 7S Consideration for the safety and well-being of yourself, as well as others at all times
+ General Cleaning and housekeeping of your area and conformance to application safety guidelines at all times Other / additional responsibilities
+ Additional duties as assigned by Lab Management
+ Verify with sales the customer requirements as required Follow the requirements for ISO 14001 and 9001 systems
+ Follow and Live Liberating Organism (LO) strategies and principles.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelors degree in chemistry or a related field
+ OR Associates degree and 2 years of experience in a lab setting or powder coatings
