Job Description
PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Under the direction of the Western Operations Manager, will perform maintenance and repairs at facilities to improve equipment functionality and reliability, in a safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for assigned repairs and maintenance of grain handling facilities and equipment, throughout the FS Grain company.
Responsible for maintaining a professional appearance and routine maintenance of mobile unit.
Responsible for maintaining equipment and supplies assigned to mobile unit.
Responsible for housekeeping pertaining to, but not limited to work areas.
Responsible for compliance with OSHA, state, federal and FS Grain safety regulations.
Assist with grain operations, including but not limited to, loading and unloading trucks, grain dryer operation and general facility housekeeping.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Responsible for maintaining company equipment according to company standards, adheres to the company uniform policy, and maintains the appropriate professional image.
Turn in necessary documents and paperwork in a timely basis.
Maintain maintenance and repair records of work done.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Report any equipment or facility concerns to the Facility manager and Operations manager of that region.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma and/or experience in a related agricultural field.
Proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Occasionally exposed or required to:
Extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.)
Noisy conditions
Lift up to 70 lbs.
Working conditions may include dust, fumes, chemicals, and electrical hazards with appropriatesafety measures.
Work at varying heights, including climbs on grain bins, legs, etc. Working in confined spaces.
Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to travel independently and overnight if necessary.
Must be able to work hours beyond those considered normal when necessary.
