PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Provides administrative support and coordination to all HR functions related to benefits, employment, compensation, payroll, and compliance administration.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Oversees and coordinates the preparation and processing of assigned employment documents for accuracy and consistency.
Compiles payroll data from time sheets and other records to ensure an accurate and timely payroll process.
Ensures proper taxes, insurance, and miscellaneous deductions are withheld and posted to payroll records.
Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
Drives the process to record employee changes such as pay, job transfers, payroll additions, and termination.
Monitors accuracy of payroll information, including monthly reconciliation or certain accounts as determined by the Chief Financial Officer.
Performs monthly commission calculations and reconciliation of bank accounts.
Coordinates benefit enrollment with new hires and uploads data to all vendors for timely coverage.
Conduce annual benefit open enrollment and performance management.
Maintains the record of PTO, FMLA, leaves of absence, and other time off. Provides assistance to employees requesting information on these paid time-off plans and policies.
Maintains files on employees according to laws and regulations.
Assist in interviewing and screening applicants and recruiting prospective employees.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Attend company and department meetings and training programs.
REQUIREMENTS
Educations and Experience
Normally requires a 2-year degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience in benefits and payroll or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES
Proven professional communication and customer service skills and the ability to comprehend simple instructions and communicate one-on-one and in small groups with customers and other employees.
Proven team-building skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
Demonstrated planning, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to use the computer and "attention to detail" skills and the ability to use the computer to enhance business processes.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work hours other than those considered normal at various times throughout the year to meet deadlines and demands.
Must be able to travel independently and overnight.
Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Ability and willingness to partcipate in required training, including education on policies and procedures and additional training related to the position's requirements.
