Day to Day:
Insight Global is looking for a Process Control and Automation Engineer to join our client onsite fulltime in Clearing, IL. For the first 6 months or so, this individual will be onsite daily working directly with their INE Technicians, Operators, and other Process Engineers to maintain and troubleshoot their PLC networks. This team is currently working to transition their method of controls including parameters and prog sensors. As a Process Control Engineer you will be expected to own the systems networking and architecture environment. After the first 6 months, this individual will have flexibility to work from home as needed each week.
Skills and Requirements
Must Haves:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
3-5+ years of industrial Process Control experience including PLC and HMI programming – will be rewriting existing code as well as coding from scratch
Experience with MS Office suite
Experience converting older systems to DCS Preferred:
Emerson Micro PLC Hardware and programing experience’’’
