PDS Tech is looking for a Quality Engineering Manager
Direct Hire
Location: Highland, IL.
Hours: M – F (8 to 5).
Salary: $100K to $150K (negotiable depending on experience).
Status: W-2 (no sponsorship).
Travel: 25%

It is preferred that the candidate possess a bachelor’s degree and minimum 5 years of electrical design and/or Quality Engineering management experience.
The candidate must excel in leadership and have a strong technical background.
The role will be responsible for planning, managing, and controlling efforts of the Quality Engineering group.
This position is responsible for leading test development and the support of start-up and ongoing production test operations for multiple manufacturing facilities both from an in-circuit test level as well as fully built production units.
This position spearheads issue resolution, coordinating with company personnel and engagement with the customer.
Minimal travel to company manufacturing facilities and customers is required.
An ideal candidate will have electronic experience from a manufacturing company with the ability to manage a team handling multiple projects while meeting commitments.
Job Description:
Responsible for planning, directing, and controlling efforts of the Quality Engineering Group, manages the conduct of environmental, operational, or performance tests on electrical, mechanical, electro-mechanical, general industrial or experimental products, equipment, machinery, controls, and systems. Participate in the planning and development of new products.
Reports to : Vice President of Corporate Quality.
Duties:
+ Effectively manage the Quality Engineering team tasks and assignments as well as provide support to the manufacturing and other departments to facilitate the production of high-quality product that meet customer needs.
+ Proactively develop and strengthen the Quality Engineering team through coaching, personnel development, recognition, and discipline.
+ Manage the operational, functional, and performance phases of testing product.
+ Provides Quality Engineering support in start-up and ongoing production operations in all company Electric manufacturing facilities.
+ Manage the analysis and interpretation of test data, as well as the preparation and presentation of technical reports for use by engineering and management personnel.
+ Participate in the research, development, and design of long-range strategic objectives. Work with departmental managers in laying out and planning of potential future operational changes.
+ Monitor, organize, analyze, trend and report on product data relating to the quality of the product and take appropriate action to mitigate risk and improve product reliability where needed.
+ Provide technical support for new product development, sustaining engineering, customer issues and manufacturing troubleshooting as necessary.
+ Confer with engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing issues (i.e. product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data and data interpretation).
+ Provide cross-functional leadership by facilitating collaboration between departments to mitigate risk and find solutions to internal and/or external customer quality issues.
+ Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager.
+ Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
+ BS Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline highly preferred.?
+ Five years of electrical design and/or Quality Engineering management experience in related areas preferred.
+ Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and decision-making skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple project and meet commitments.
+ Ability to travel as necessary.
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
