JOB SUMMARY
The In-House Registry Nurse-Specialty is accountable and responsible for patient care during an assigned tour of duty in the Perioperative Holding Area and in the Post Anesthesia Recovery Unit (PACU). Provides safe, effective, and individualized care using the nursing process. Performance of these duties require skills, problem solving abilities, communication, effective working relationships setting priorities, and demonstrates competence in the delivery of patient care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.
Two (2) years of Perioperative Services Nursing experience in a Post-Anesthesia Care Unit
Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) or able to obtain one within two (2) weeks of starting. (Must provide proof at time of interview if already obtained)
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or able to obtain one within two (2) weeks of starting. (Must provide proof at time of interview if already obtained)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN)
One (1) year of Critical Care Nursing experience
Current Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS) certification
Bilingual in English/Spanish
