Position Summary

The position of Associate QC Chemist is responsible for performing simple analytical analysis of raw materials, in-process solutions, stabilit y, finished goods , and cleaning samples , and general laboratory support .
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
(Detailed Description)
+ Performs routineand non-routineanalysisforraw materials,in-process solutions,stability,andfinish goodsincluding, but not limited toidentificationtesting,refractive index, density, viscosity, water activity,pH,appearance, taste, and smell testing.
+ Conductspharmaceutical water testing including but not limited tonitrate testing, total organic carbon (TOC),andconductivity.
+ Responsible for analytical analysisof cleaning validation and surveillance samples.
+ Prepares solutions used for routine and non-routine analyses, such as buffersanddiluents.
+ Managessample coordination prior to and following testing activities.
+ Responsiblefor ordering and stocking supplies.
+ Performslaboratory maintenance activitiesincluding but not limited to equipment preventative maintenance, calibration, disposal of waste, and cleaning laboratory areas.
+ Performs otheractivitiesas needed.
Education & Special Trainings

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or other related technical field.

Minimum Requirements:
+ Experience working in a laboratory environment.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
+ Strong written and oral communication skills (English).

+ Must be able to lifta minimum of25lbs.
+ Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
+ Must possess appropriate manual dexterity for laboratory operations.
+ Must be able to determine color variationson/in solid and liquid substrates.
+ The ability to work with hot liquids and common laboratory chemicals.
Mental Requirements
+ Must be capable of conducting commonlaboratorymathematical calculations.
+ The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
