The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Associate Deputy Director of the Central Office of Contract Administration. Under administrative direction, this position will plan and direct the contracting process for purchase of service from private sector providers, grants, and Department procurements involving multi-level programmatic operations. The position will identify and assess problem areas and develop resolutions. This position provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual to help ensure that DCFS gets the most value for its contract dollars.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business, accounting, economics, or a related area
2. Requires four years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization in accounting, contract services, or procurement
Preferred Qualifications1. 3 years of professional experience conducting or managing contract monitoring and/or review for a public or business organization
2. 3 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization
3. 3 years of professional experience developing and administering strategic goals and objectives for a public or business organization
4. 3 years of professional experience administering a quality control process for a public or business organization
5. 3 years of professional experience managing the process of service provider rate determination

3. Per Executive Order 2018-07, requires engagement with Business Enterprise Program (BEP) contractors and subcontractors and support for the goals of the BEP program and the Fair Contracting Task Force when applicable
