Job Description
OverviewWe are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager - Structural to join our team in at any of our 17 office locations. This position is on our Buildings Service Line and will be supporting projects primarily in the public sector. The majority of projects will be focused on water and wastewater facilities, as well as other municipal/government buildings, parks and recreation facilities, agricultural structures, and more. As a Project Manager, this position will work collaboratively with other MSA employees including architects, structural engineers, MEP engineers, water/wastewater engineers, agricultural engineers and more.
Responsibilities
The work you may do
- Provide project management for structural engineering projects, primarily on water/wastewater facilities
- Prepare structural design calculations for structures
- Provide leadership and mentoring to MSA employees
- Perform field investigations to evaluate structural conditions, and develop repair alternatives
- Communicate with clients, agencies, stakeholders, and the public
- Business development related to structural projects with current and future clients
What you bring
Skills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) required with an emphasis in structures preferred
- 5+ years of prior structural engineering experience required
- PE license required, SE preferred
- Experience with Revit preferred
- Experience with water/wastewater projects, including water retaining structures required
- Previous experience with project management and client relationships required, or desire to step into that role
