Job Description

Description We are looking for a diligent Payroll Administrator to join our team in Aurora, Illinois. In your role, you will be working on processing weekly payroll and maintaining accurate payroll records. You will also handle payroll inquiries and ensure the smooth operation of payroll activities across multiple facilities in Illinois.

Responsibilities:

- Process weekly union payroll for multiple facilities

- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies

- Resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees in a timely and professional manner

- Utilize Paylocity and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze payroll data

- Continuously improve the payroll process by identifying and implementing process enhancements

- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing

- Monitor payroll transactions and reports for accuracy and make necessary adjustments

- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism

- Support audits and internal reviews related to payroll

- Stay updated with the latest payroll trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, payroll systems, and data privacy legislation. Requirements – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for managing and analyzing payroll data.

- Experience with Paylocity software is required for efficient payroll processing.

- Familiarity with full cycle payroll processes, including payroll tax, is crucial.

- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills are necessary for accurate payroll administration.

- Good organizational skills are required to manage multiple payroll schedules and deadlines.

- Strong communication skills are essential to liaise with employees and resolve any payroll discrepancies.

- A solid understanding of payroll regulations and employment laws is necessary to ensure compliance.

- Confidentiality and integrity are crucial due to the sensitive nature of payroll information.

- Problem-solving skills are necessary to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues.

- The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential for effective payroll administration.
