Job Description Summary
Adjunct Instructor, College of Education and Social Sciences, Department of Education, needed to teach courses in the area of Special Education as well as supervise candidates in field experiences and/or clinical practice. Personal transportation is required.
Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. Responsible to model, teach and promote the unit standards for the Department of Education as a critical transformative educator, a multicultural educator and a social justice advocate.
-To teach one or more classes in the Department of Education at any one of the Lewis university sites and/or online
-Availability to hold office hours and meet with other faculty members and department chairs or directors when necessary
Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree preferred, master's degree considered. Illinois Learning Behavior Specialist 1 Professional Educator's License or Elementary or Secondary Professional Educator's License with an LBS1 endorsement. Previous teaching experience with students in special education required. Experienced in using technologies such as Learning Management Systems (Blackboard) and online teaching.
