Description:
Group O is searching for an Industrial Packaging Sales Representative in the Iowa City area to join our growing team! The Industrial Packaging Sales Representative is responsible for account management of a defined set of accounts within the Eastern Iowa territory and surrounding areas and will be empowered to increase sales with new and existing customers.

- Participating in customer requests for quotes and proposals
- Gathering and communicating requirements and specifications
- Participating in pricing
- Presenting quotes and proposals
- Participating in order management
- Receiving orders and relaying them to operations
- Monitoring order fulfillment
- Monitoring invoicing
- Monitoring and reporting on customer satisfaction
- Finding and supporting opportunities for improved performance, cost-savings, and efficiency
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Packaging Sciences Degree or equivalent experience
Skills:
- Knowledge of services and products:
- Secondary/tertiary packaging materials
- Packaging equipment systems
- Packaging manufacturer product lines
- Distribution network services
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit or stand for an extended period of time
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexibility in daily hours worked based on workloads
- Ability to travel (overnight)
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in sales, account management or customer support- around 5 years
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic user abilities in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to present information to managers, clients, suppliers and peers
- Problem solving ability
