About the RoleThe Account Manager II is responsible for providing a best-in-class customer experience, serving as the first line of contact for our customers. They will manage operational functions in the Over Dimensional and Heavy Haul Open Deck market for new and future business opportunities. Daily responsibilities will include executing on detailed OD/HH quoting requests, tracking OTP, along with high levels of customer facing communication. This advanced role will require extensive collaboration internally and across different levels of UF customer's organization. Servicing the customer and continuing to sell our OD/HH services to current and prospective customers will continue to help grow our success in this market.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with customer contacts, including shippers and receivers, through professional and timely communications and inquiry responses
- Responsible for understanding current market trends, to successfully offer pricing to customers’ requests for quotes
- Notify Shipper and/or Receiver of shipment status and reschedule pick-up/delivery appointments when necessary
- Set-up New Locations (Shippers/Receivers); and/or Set-up new vendors
- Correspond with customer and carrier sales team regarding accessorial charges
- Maintain current customer rates
- Responsible for confirming billing information is accurate and ready for invoicing
- Minimum 2+ years related experience
- College degree or equivalent
- Transportation/Logistics experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Tools and Transportation Management Systems
