Estimated annual base pay: $79,700.00 (minimum) - $99,600.00 (midpoint) - $119,500.00 (maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're an experience Network Security Engineer, we have an exciting opportunity for you. Woodward is hiring a Network Security Engineer to join our team. This position is an exciting blend of security disciplines. You will be working hand and hand with the networking team, driving towards a more secure network. As part of a regulated industry, you will also work to drive compliance in network configuration, and devices images. You will have hands-on responsibilities with our Network Access Control tools, and firewalls. The successful candidate will have extensive experience with Cisco networks, and hands-on experience with CheckPoint Firewall. The Network Security Engineer will be responsible for representing the security team in network discussions, ensuring the security of the network, and assisting with Network Access Control.
What You Will Be Doing
Represent the security team in network discussions and ensure the security of the network
Work closely with the network team to ensure that security policies are being followed and that the network is secure.
Hands-on day to day responsibility with CheckPoint Firewalls.
Assist with Network Access Control using Forescout, while not required experience with Forescout, Forescout experience is great to have.
Investigate and resolve security incidents and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
Ensure that all security-related policies and procedures are being followed by the team.
Provide technical guidance to other members of the security team and network team.
Perform security assessments and vulnerability testing.
Maintain documentation for security policies, procedures, and best practices.
What We Are Looking For
A bachelor's degree is required. Preferably in computer science, information systems or other related discipline.
At least 3 or more years of experience in an IT/Network Security role is required.
Experience with Checkpoint, and Cisco is strongly preferred.
Experience with Forescout a plus.
CCNP, GSEC, GDSA or equivalent a plus.
Experience in a NIST 800-171 Regulated environment a desired.
