The Cash and Corporate division of Northern Trust is looking for Sr. Developer with at least 8 years of experience designing and developing high volume, time sensitive applications for the financial industry. Candidate will be involved in development and support of IBM MDM application using Java/J2EE with oracle database and middle ware/ MQ interface. Person will be responsible for, majorly Support and development of MDM customization and data quality improvement.
Major Duties :
Responsible for incident management with actively monitoring incident queue and provide appropriate response/solution to the MDM related issues raised by source and consumer systems. Actively participate in development as well, with the view of production stability and responsible for system stability and high availability. Evaluates and makes recommendation on techniques, practices, or technologies that would reduce production incidents. Also does work to ensure continuous process improvements. Communicates with source and consumer system on time-to-time basis if there is service outage and work with the SWAT team to restore system ASAP. Also communicate to all consumers if there is delay in batch processing and proactively inform if the SLA is being missed. Actively engage with development team to fix the root cause of the issue/incident and monitor it, until end to end solution is implemented. Participate in development as per DevOps model and continuously engage in development activity to better understand the release and upcoming features. Provide suggestion for automation for the manual processes and engage with offshore team on implementing automation. Excellent written and oral business communication to explain the system incident or development work. Implementing the features using Agile methodology.
Knowledge:
Hands on experience in IBM MDM with excellent understanding of PME (Probabilistic matching engine) for at least 4 years. Excellent hands-on experience in Java/J2ee is required for at least 8 years. Hands on experience in Red Hat Linux with the ability to write Shell scripts. Excellent understanding of the batch process. Especially knowledge of Control - M and DataStage batch jobs. Data model understanding of the IBM MDM application is preferred. 8 Years of hands-on experience in oracle with ability to write complex SQL and PL/SQL. Hands on understanding of the monitoring systems like Dynatrace, APM, Catch point. Experience to Trouble shoot application hosted in on Prem- Cloud. A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required. Clear understanding of the Agile Methodology. Knowledge of Azure or any other cloud platform is added advantage.
