Cloud Architect, Senior Manager
Key Role:
Build and develop trusted advisor relationship with client leaders and stakeholders. Own the strategic architectural improvements roadmap, including prioritizing and planning of "big rocks", building the backlog of architecture items for the customer and developing the vision for the architectural runway. Decompose the work from a technical perspective and define the scope of the work for each PI. Communicate the strategy with leadership in terms of the why, the benefits, and the risks. Lead project teams to consult, recommend, and advise on process, methodologies and technology. Support architectural teams' solutions, engaging and contributing to solutions and architecture development, and POCs to ensure use cases, contingencies, and risks are considered, discussed, and either resolved or accepted.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience with leading system architecture of cloud platforms and applications

Experience with leading and developing system architectures, software development, and operations maintenance for large, complex, and concurrent projects

Knowledge of the full systems development life cycle, enterprise-wide network engineering, strategic information planning, business process reengineering, structure, and management practices

Ability to manage engagement of architects in presales solution architecture and scoping efforts to support the creation of LOEs for both new initiatives and feature enhancement requests

Ability to obtain a security clearance

Bachelor's degree

AWS Solutions Architect Professional, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, or AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification

Additional Qualifications:

Experience in Health IT

Experience with U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or U.S. Department of Health and Human Services

Experience in an Agile or Scrum organization

Experience presenting to stakeholders

Knowledge of Agile software development techniques, DevOps approaches, design and architectural patterns, and standards and practices

Knowledge of business management

Knowledge of AWS and Azure platforms

Ability to mentor and train staff, including cloud architects

Possession of excellent communication and interpersonal skills
