We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Hoffman Estates, IL. In this critical role, you will be responsible for all aspects of designing, implementing, managing, and supporting our SQL Server environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the availability, performance, security, and integrity of our business-critical data.

Responsibilities:

+ Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.

+ Design and implement database security measures.

+ Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning.

+ Monitor database performance and identify optimization opportunities.

+ Troubleshoot and resolve database issues.

+ Implement and maintain database automation scripts.

+ Collaborate with developers to ensure proper database design and usage.

+ Stay up to date on the latest SQL Server technologies and best practices.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA

+ Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing SQL Server databases.

+ Strong understanding of SQL query optimization and performance tuning

+ Experience with database security best practices, including user access control and encryption.

+ Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.

+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills

+ An initiative-taker with a proactive approach to problem-solving

+ Familiarity with DevOps principles a plus
