Job Description

The Spirit of the Position:
The Resort Shuttle Driver position is responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe transportation, loading and unloading of passengers & employees to and from the property and employee parking, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Welcome guests and employees in a friendly, prompt and professional manner; recognizing Terranea's new/or returning guests.
Greet and escort arriving and departing guests to and from their accommodations.
Provide information for hotel shuttle services, local attractions, amenities, and transportation services.
Drive guests to designated routes and maintain daily shuttle schedules; assist guests with luggage including bell closet storage.
Drive employees to and from designated employee parking areas.
Take action to solve guest complaints/issues using appropriate service recovery guidelines.
Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional follow-up.
Always follow established property safety procedures and immediately report all health and safety incidents, security concerns and/or suspicious behavior to a supervisor or manager.
Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality of service per property operating procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned including ground cleaning, concierge services, special guest requests, etc.

Requirements:
Must have valid Class B OR Class C license for at least 2 yrs and MUST have passenger endorsement.
Must have an unexpired Medical Certificate.
Must be able to submit and pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
Must be at least 20 years of age.
Must be able to meet the following MVR guidelines.
Have a clean driving record (no moving violations in 3 years and no DUI convictions, suspended license, etc.).
No active reckless driving violations (within 3 years).
No active leave the scene, vehicular homicide/assault violations.
No more than one "Minor" violation in a 3-year period (accident, speeding 21+ mph, other moving violations).
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Other Responsibilities
Maintains shuttle in proper working order alerting security supervisors of any issues like low gas or maintenance lights and warnings.
Acknowledges and greets Resort Guest/Employees in a friendly and courteous manner.
Must be always alert to any unusual or suspicious activity that may occur and relay concerns to the Security Supervisor via radio.
Always maintains a professional appearance (no body piercings or visible tattoos on forearms or legs) and great attitude.
Be on time and available to work on weekends/holidays and some late nights.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time, up to 8 hours a day.
Ability to drive continuously in the designated shuttle for a minimum of 2-3 hours.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
Ability to apply pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using hands, wrists and arms.
Ability to perform functions that require repetitive motions using ankles, knees and hips.
Ability to express or exchange information, instructions, ideas, etc. by means of the spoken word.
Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make the discriminations sound.
