This position will support the marketing and communication efforts in the Dale and Deborah Smith Center for Alzheimer's Research and Treatment (Smith Alzheimer's Center) at SIU Medicine. This position will help develop strategies for communication to patients and caregivers, the medical community, and the community at-large through various avenues. This position will allow further development of communication and marketing techniques in the Smith Alzheimer's Center, patient engagement campaigns, writing and editing for different mediums such as web and print, develop creative assets for campaigns such as video and photo, collaboration internally within SIU and with outside partner organizations.

This position will primarily be in person at SIU School of Medicine in Springfield, IL, with occasional off-site work.
 Examples of Duties

Support for communication and marketing strategies to enhance patient care experience and to promote community outreach efforts.
Multimedia, creative, and/or other support for social media and digital campaigns.
Develop and maintain information for dementia patients and caregivers that describes programs and services available to those in our service area.
Assisting in projects to optimize SIU Medicine's online presence through the web, social, and digital strategies.
Work with appropriate community partners to raise awareness for care, programs and events.
Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Any one or combination totaling six (6) months from the categories below:
College coursework in any curriculum as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:
15 semester hours equals six (6) months
Work experience performing office/clerical activities, including use of computer systems.
