Description
The Project Manager, Hospitality and Construction reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Project Manager, Hospitality and Construction, under the direction of the Manager of Facilities, is responsible and accountable for the leadership and management of assigned facilities, infrastructure and renovation projects both on and off the main campuses for the system. The Project Manager will organize and deliver projects under the guidance and direction of project sponsors, operations leaders and the Manager of Facilities within the NMHC organization and its operating units. The Project Manager will follow the NMHC Project Management Methodology, utilize standardized tools and processes to effectively communicate and deliver the Project within the approved scope, budget, and schedule as a steward of NMHC resources.
Responsibilities:
Develops all-inclusive project schedule through activation
Develops comprehensive project budget including early design thru post-move/relocation
Facilitates the RFP process for architects/engineers, construction contractors, equipment vendors, furniture vendors, signage suppliers, and any other consultant necessary to fulfill the project
Facilitates all phases of the Capital process to include: inputting project, securing funds, creating PO's and ensuring that vendors are paid and project is closed out
Directly manages the design, construction and relocation process including being an onsite resource through activation to support the operations team
Meets regularly with the project architect and general contractor (OAC meetings) to assure the project is on schedule and within budget
Ensures the work of contracted consultants, contractors and vendors is in compliance with standards, rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction including, but not limited to: the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH), Village of Winfield and Joint Commission (JCAHO) requirements.
Assists with space utilization exercises and test fits of spaces
Provides analytics to be used for real estate decisions and recommendations along with the capital budgeting process
Have a basic understanding of building operations management, biomedical engineering, medical equipment planning, furniture planning, ADA requirements and ergonomics
Other responsibilities as designated in support of organizational priorities
This position is full-time, 80 hours per pay period, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related field, or equivalent work experience
Five to ten years of experience in Healthcare Project Management
Excellent oral and written communication skills, financial skills and computer skills
Preferred:
Architecture License
