Job Description

Position Summary

Brookfield Properties has an immediate need for a Senior Retail Renderer on-site at the corporate office in Chicago, IL. The Retail Design Team is a group of visualization professionals with in Brookfield Properties ’ retail group (“BPR”) who support numerous departments ’ initiatives within BPR by creating renderings and 3 D visualizations. The Senior Retail Renderer will work in collaboration with the AVP of Design and take an active role in assigning and delegating workloads, productivity, and deliverable standards of the Retail Design Team. Responsibilities:

+ Prepare and p rovide rough draft illustrations, design s, and 3D visualization s related to BPR department initiatives as requested .? Foster collaboration between all internal and external project team members.?

+ Responsible for managing multiple projects of varying degrees of difficulty.

+ T urn insights, observations and requests into solutions that exceed design and project expectations through creative and intuitive thinking . Produce consistently excellent visual work.

+ Act as a team lead on the Retail Design Team by ensur ing team productivity and quality standards are met .

+ Act as a mentor to other members of the Retail Design Team to advance team members’ skills and capabilities .

+ Proactively communicate status with management to keep them up to date on projects.

+ Refin e / enhanc e renderings using a wide range of materials, colors, and graphics.

+ Finaliz e image design and presentation packages using the latest 3D visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite .

+ Ensur e that printed illustrations meet specified color and quality standards.

+ Adherence to all department policies and procedures established by leadership.

Qualifications:

+ High School Diploma or GED required

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related Design field

+ 5 years of experience in Retail, Industrial, or Hospitality Design with a strong portfolio

+ Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator)

+ Strong modeling and drawing skills in Sketch-up and/or Rhino, AutoCAD and/or Revit

+ Knowledge of materials and methods of fabrication and installation, fixture concept and development, lighting concept and development, new materials selection , and specifications for both large and smaller projects a plus.

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, as well as independently to meet timelines.

+ Strong presentation and communication abilities.

+ Passionate about design in all areas, with strong conceptual and artistic skills
