Job Title: Extrusion Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Machine Operator to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for breaking down, cleaning, and setting up all dies and restarting extruders without supervision. You will be expected to operate extrusion lines with minimal to no assistance, troubleshoot downstream equipment problems, and produce parts from most materials. Additionally, you will prepare lines for production effectively and efficiently with the help of fellow operators placed on those lines. You will also be expected to maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality throughout the entire part run and to train junior operators to develop speed and accuracy in all processes. Lastly, maintaining a clean and orderly work environment will be a key part of your role.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Des Plaines, Illinois.

Work Environment

We have openings on all 3 shifts (1st: 6-2:30, 2nd: 2-10:30, 3rd: 10-6:30). Training will be provided on the 1st shift for at least 1 week. Please note that we will be transitioning to 12-hour shifts in the future (either 6-6 or 7-7). There is no set timeline for this change, but candidates must be aware of this before starting.
