DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Auger Operator works closely with the Manufacturing Lead to monitor production operation and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and makes necessary adjustments as needed. This position is responsible for the flow of the entire production line.
Ensure all the cavities of the molds are completely full
Recognize a change of base
Ensure each change of base has been cleaned and washed correctly to avoid contamination of mixtures
Good communication with the Batch Operator and Production Line
Keep area clean to avoid down-time problems
Wash thoroughly before each break and at the end of the shift
Exhibits professional attitude toward coworkers and leadership
Understand how your role impacts other processes throughout the manufacturing process and our customers
Attend regular safety and compliance trainings and operations meetings
Know and understand performance goals and expectations including daily production volume targets as it applies to your role
Be inclusive of all employees by treating all coworkers with respect and professionalism
Clearly communicate any issues or concerns that you identify with coworkers and/or leaders that may impact safety, quality or efficiency in a clear and respectful manner
Perform Stop Work Authority if an unsafe condition is identified
Knowledge of lock-out and tag-out procedures
Adhere to all PPE requirements, including hard hat, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, respirator, and any other PPE that is required per taskQualifications
Education
High Diploma or equivalent experience
At least 18 years of age
Experience
Minimum of 6 months in a Manufacturing Environment
Skills & Competencies
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to read and interpret common statistical data, productivity reports, and written instructions
Capable of using computerized equipment

While performing the duties of the job, the associate is regularly required to stand
The associate is required to walk: reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; turning or twisting; pushing; and talk or hear
While performing the duties of this job, the average plant temperature conditions range from 60 in the cooler months and upto 110 during the warmer months
All workstations on the plant floor require the use of protective eyewear and hearing protection; some work stations require additional safety equipment to include but not limited togloves, aprons and arm guards
Safety
Safe work performance is required from each associate at all times
Perform all duties and responsibilities safely in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals
Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions
Comply with all legislative requirements as outlined by Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations
