  • Reduce cyber risk to the organization through assisting teams with engaging remediation activities for vulnerabilities.
  • Documenting software ownership and utilization.
  • Work with SAM team to help correlate data found.
  • Work with remediation teams to create and track plans to address discovered vulnerabilities.
  • Establish, manage, and support delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics across business units to illustrate effectiveness of remediation activities.
  • Assist with efforts to quantify and analyze areas of risk in the environment.
  • Assist with documenting action plans for remediation.
  • Work with software owners to document business purpose and lifecycle information.
  • Leverage vulnerability database sources to understand each weakness, its probability and remediation options, including vendor-supplied fixes and workarounds.
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to advise and support remediation efforts to close vulnerability exposure to new threats in the wild and verify the organization’s security posture against them.
  • Develop automation, orchestration, and scripting to reduce manual processes improving overall efficiency while also enabling new capabilities to meet our rapidly changing needs.
  • Working on evaluation and documentation for Managed State of vulnerabilities
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, CS, or other IT related field and at least 1-2 years of experience in information security administration, vulnerability management or security operations. OR High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in information security administration, vulnerability management or security operations.
  • Experience remediating vulnerabilities and researching remediation solutions.
  • Knowledge of information security standards (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 2700x, etc.), rules and regulations related to information security and data confidentiality (e.g., GLBA, SOX) and desktop, server, application, database, network security principles for risk identification and analysis.
  • Strong collaboration skills – able to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with managers, staff, customers, and vendors at all levels within the company.
  • Excellence in communicating business risk and remediation requirements from assessments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset, collaborative, highly organized and efficient.
  • Travel – Occasional, based on issues, system requirements, training, etc. * Experience in Service Now Vulnerability Response and other SecOps modules
  • Experience creating reports and KRI’s
  • Software Asset Management experience
  • Understanding of various Risk Management Frameworks and Compliance standards
  • Relevant industry certifications null
