Job Description:

What You’ll Do

+ Directly responsible for delivering facilities and administrative management to assigned buildings.

+ Coordinates vendors and service providers to complete approved work requests and ensure quality results for building services including janitorial, pest control, landscaping, interior plant service, building and furniture maintenance, building improvements and employees services to include the fitness center, food service and copy/mail.

+ Assists with the budgeting process, analysis, and reporting.

+ Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

How You’ll Do It

+ Provides facility and administrative support to all assigned properties, assisting the Regional Facility Manager or Facility Manager, in overseeing the delivery of maintenance and repair services. Develop/maintain positive relationships with all internal/external customers and facilities staff. Maintain open lines of communication and promptly report any customer impacting issues to supervisor. Act collaboratively to solve problems and resolve situations with professionalism and outstanding customer service.

+ Ensures staff and vendors are meeting established customer SLAs. Ensures all vendor contract services as well as terms and conditions are being satisfactorily met. Ensures that all applicable vendors are under contract with appropriate COI, establish and maintain KPI/SLA’s and scorecards for each vendor. Pest control, Interior plant service, exterior landscaping and snow removal, Janitorial, trash removal and recycling, document destruction, Copy/Mail, Fitness Center, Food Service, and critical systems as applicable.

+ Assists with the coordination and scheduling of maintenance activities. Provides direction/information to vendors, facilities staff, and service providers as required ensuring excellent coordination/execution of work within the customer environment with minimal disruption, as needed.

+ Oversees employee and vendor development, training and communications. Develops staff within area of responsibility in accordance with policy. Ensure compliance to all established company and department policy, procedures, standards and directives, all Federal, State and local requirements. Assists with receiving and dispatching work requests to the staff, vendors or other service providers. Coordinate vendor support to include the vendor on boarding process, COI, site access and ensure quality performance.

+ Directly responsible for project management, vendor management, meeting services and associated facilities tasks within approved processes and procedures in accordance with Discover Company and department policies, standards and procedures, the requirements of all local, state and Federal laws.

Qualifications You’ll Need

The Basics

+ H.S. Diploma or GED

+ Associate’s Degree in Facilities Management, Information Technology, Social Sciences, or related field

+ 4+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Properties Management, or related field

+ In lieu of education, 6+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Properties Management, or related field

Bonus Points If You Have

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Facilities Management

+ 6+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Properties Management, or related field

+ 1+ years of experience in People Management

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
