Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Scott AFB Bowling Center. This is a Flexible position, guaranteed 0-40 hours per week First cut-off is 17 June 2024, announcement will close once all positions have been filled Responsibilities Operates the pro-shop. Operates the computerized automatic scoring system to include assisting team captains and patrons in making inputs, corrections and changes. Collects fees from open and league bowling. Responsible for the recording of total lines on each bowling sheet and maintains correct information in the computer system. Assists in the maintenance of items such as rental shoes. Is responsible for daily receipts including preparation of necessary forms. Responsible for keeping area clean. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Knowledge of the game of bowling, i.e., ABC, WIBC, and YABA playing rules is desirable. This knowledge may be obtained through previous employment in a bowling center or working as a league official in a bowling league, i.e., president, secretary, etc. Participation in a league strictly as a bowler is not considered qualifying experience. Education This position does not allow for education substitution. Additional Information Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation. Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check. A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government’s interest.
