Minimum Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience working in a Manufacturing environment with Progressive Die Design experience

- Experience with the design of strip layout for metal stamping process

- Manages all stages of design reviews and insures integrity of current revision levels

- Tool & Die Design experience using AutoCAD & Solidworks

- Assist Engineering team with project quoting

- Must possess tool troubleshooting knowledge

- Technical knowledge in the workings of the APQP process

- Understands GD&T methods and practices

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Tooling Engineer is responsible for overseeing all design and tooling related activities for all Business Units. Manages the APQP process for all new tooling launches. Responsible for profitability on new or revised tools.

50% CAD Design (AutoCAD & Solidworks). If Tooling Engineer only has 2D AutoCAD, they will be considered. Most of the design work is moving to 3D – Solidworks. Tooling Engineer will also do Strip layouts for the progressive die process (show each step of the manufacturing process of how the part is made).

50% Quoting of new tooling projects, engineering documentation, APQP reporting.

Tooling Engineer should have prior experience with PROGRESSIVE METAL STAMPING DIES.

They should have a good understanding of how a progressive tool works

Candidate should also know Metal Stamping process
