Staff Accountant
Position Summary:
As a member of the global Finance Team, this position reports to the Accounting Manager. You will be responsible for various general ledger accounting activities, including parts of month-end close and reporting, journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations and analysis, and various ad-hoc projects.
Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Actively participate in the financial month-end close and independently handle assigned areas of the balance sheet and P&L
+ Utilize NetSuite daily to record revenue-related journal entries, and to create and run reports
+ Review project expense and revenue transactions for accuracy
+ Monitor compliance with internal capitalization policy and procedures
+ Perform variance analyses and prepare GL account reconciliations
+ Assist with financial reporting for multiple foreign subsidiaries
+ Collecting, analyzing, and setting standard costs of manufactured goods
+ Cross train on multiple areas with other Accountants including fixed assets, revenue, accruals and other
+ Assist with process improvements and workflow efficiencies
+ Provide excellent customer service to our internal “customers” – (i.e. co-workers in other departments)
+ Handle ad-hoc projects and tasks, as assigned
Required:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
+ 2+ years of related accounting experience
+ Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
+ Demonstrable self-organization skills and time management
+ Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with all internal and external stakeholders
+ Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Desired:
+ CPA credentials preferred
+ NetSuite ERP systems experience preferred
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
+ Hybrid schedule – 2-3 days on site
