Job Description

OBJECTIVE:

This position is part of the US Finance Shared Services Record to Report (RTR) Operations organization. US FSS RTR Operations is responsible for centralizing and executing accounting processes, governance and controls and delivering organizational efficiencies via centralization of common accounting processes for certain global, US regional and the US BU functions.

This role acts as the accounting contact for US bank accounts with focus on trade receivables and misc. receivables related transactions, interacts with Treasury, AR, AP and other stakeholders in terms of cash settlements and payment disbursements, this role also supports US Commercial related payment activities.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Work closely with Treasury, AR, AP and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cash posting for US banks accounts, mainly BOA trade receivables, lock box bank accounts, and related cash clearing accounts

+ Responsible for managing bank account reconciliations, team up with US Commercial Finance, AR, Treasury and BTS to understand the nature of transactions, data flow, analyze discrepancies, resolve related bank posting and clearing issues

+ Identify and post bank fees for multiple financial transactions to corresponding general ledgers, collaborate with other FSS RTR contacts regarding P&L impact for US commercial Finance, perform analysis as needed

+ Prepare and review various journal entries for month-end close to support multiple business units including Tax, Benefits, Treasury, R&D, and Consolidations

+ Research uncleared cash items by following up with various teams to identity payment owners and post payment accordingly

+ Coordinate with BPO on outsourcing AR clearing related activities and oversee these activities afterwards

+ Document current process, participate in various process automation and improvement projects

+ Review and approve Blackline account reconciliations

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance with 1-3 years of accounting experience, CPA or MBA a plus

+ Strong computer skills, particularly experience with Excel and SAP is required, prior experience with treasury activities, AP and AR clearing activities preferred

+ Analytical and problem-solving abilities are key attributes for success

+ Ability to multi-task and deal with time constraints to effectively manage various deadlines

+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, communication and presentation skills including the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
