PLC Technician - Direct Hire

Job Description

This position is a direct hire position for their 2nd shift operations.

Description:

As a PLC Technician, you will be responsible for observing the functioning of installed equipment to identify hazards, problems, and service needs. You will engage with technical staff to discuss performance issues and suggest improvements, read and interpret electronic and electrical schematics, and sketch to clarify design details. Your role includes assembling experimental circuitry or complete prototype models, recommending changes to simplify assembly and maintenance, and maintaining backups of programs from all electrical devices. You will set up test apparatus, conduct tests to evaluate performance, analyze and interpret data, and adjust, calibrate, and align circuitry and components. Additionally, you will be required to check newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.

Skills:

+ PLC equipment service of electrical/mechanical components

+ Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics

+ Troubleshooting solid state motor drives, temperature controllers, and computer-based controllers

+ Ability to discuss and collaborate on performance issues

+ Capability to draw sketches and clarify technical details

+ Analytical skills to interpret data and adjust components accordingly
