Job Description

Our client, a leader in their manufacturing industry, is looking to add multiple heavy industrial Mill machine operators to their operations. They have openings on 2nd and 3rd shift with the operation of running multiple machines. We are looking for individuals who have experience running large machinery, or CNC machines. These positions are long term/permanent, direct-hire, job openings due to increases in business.

Job Description

As an Operator, you will be responsible for working and coordinating with the operating crew while simultaneously operating the mill to produce high-quality, in specification products per the daily production schedule. This role requires maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. You will receive verbal and/or written instructions from the Plant Manager or Production Supervisor. You will also be tasked with promoting healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and company policy. This role involves operating overhead cranes and hi-los, performing minor maintenance, assisting maintenance personnel in making repairs to equipment, and reporting any irregularities or malfunctions to managers and/or maintenance. Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role. You will also be expected to maintain a clean and safe work area and perform other duties as required.

Skills

+ Ability to receive and follow verbal and written instructions

+ Promotion of healthy and safe work practices

+ Ability to coordinate and assist in the performance of mill changeovers

+ Ability to operate overhead crane and hi-lo

+ Ability to perform minor maintenance and assist maintenance personnel in making repairs to equipment

Work Environment

Work hours can vary between 2nd, and 3rd shifts, with the expectation to work an average of 50 hours a week including some Saturdays. Training will be provided on the 1st shift for at least 4 weeks before transitioning to 2nd or 3rd shift. The work environment is protected from weather conditions but not from temperature changes. Hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts/vehicles, electrical current, exposure to high heat, and exposure to chemicals.
