Email a Friend Save Save Apply Now Position Summary: The Outpatient Transition to Practice Program Coach provides staff hired into the programs with ongoing guidance to achieve their greatest potential. Responsible for monitoring the onboarding/orientation process and implementing changes. Conducts and facilitates classroom and on-the-job training to synthesize knowledge, increase skill development, and promote interpersonal growth. Works closely with preceptors and unit leadership. Completes and evaluates benchmark data for each orientee. Aids in the planning and execution of the program’s events. Provides a high level of support to staff hired through the programs to support strong retention and engagement. Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS H.S. Diploma/GED or College Diploma in Nursing-if Licensed RN and Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) if Licensed RN within 2 years CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) From one of the following issuing bodies: National Health Career Association (NHA), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), American Allied Health (AAH) or the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) upon hire or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) From one of the following issuing bodies: American Medical Technologies (AMT) or the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). In addition, this certification requires: Successful completion of a Registered/Certified Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA) program or equivalent upon hire or Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License Illinois upon hire and Basic Life Support (BLS) (AHA) within 30 days. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Three (3) years of healthcare experience in related field and strong customer service skills. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Capable of fostering innovative solutions through creative thinking. Actively solicits feedback to enhance performance. Demonstrates a deep commitment to serving others. Proactively cultivates meaningful professional connections. Possesses exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal communication. Essential Functions:

+ Monitors and completes competency modules.

+ Support staff through regular departmental rounds and individual coaching sessions.

+ Support staff during dayshift/nightshift hours.

+ Collaborate with team members to design schedules and establish preceptor assignments.

+ Evaluates the onboarding/orientation process to enhance skill progression and ensure the delivery of safe patient care.

+ Engages in and conducts classroom learning by employing a diverse range of instructional methods.

+ Collaborate with department staff to foster open and strong relationships.

+ Maintain clear communication with department leadership teams.

+ Support recruitment and retention events as needed.

+ Conducts and facilitates classroom learning.

+ Shadow staff to ensure the progression of skills.

+ Provide support staff through regular rounding.

+ Provide real-time feedback to support continuous progression.

+ Complete all mandatory training and competency modules.
