Job Description

Our Machine Builder position offers the opportunity to work from drawings and written communication to layout, assemble, route piping/tubing, and test tight tolerance parts and equipment. As a Machine Builder, you will be responsible for analyzing assembly drawings and specifications, planning assembly or building operations, fastening components or parts together using hand tools, positioning and aligning components for assembly, and more. This role will require you to rework, repair, and replace damaged parts or assemblies, lay out, drill, ream, tap, and cut parts for assembly. You will also be required to fasten and install piping, fixtures, or wiring and electrical components to specifications, inspect and test parts and accessories for leakage, defect, or functionality, using test equipment. Additionally, you will set and verify clearance of parts, operate machines to verify functioning, machine capabilities, and conformance to customer’s specifications. Maintenance and lubrication of parts and components, troubleshooting issues and working with appropriate resources to resolve them, and effectively managing work time to meet production needs/schedules will also fall under your responsibilities.

Hard Skills

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Warrenville, Illinois.

Work Environment

You will be working in a very clean, modern, air conditioned shop equipped with new equipment & machinery. The facility houses a team of 70 people, with 5 people in the machine building team. The facility is well-equipped with a full-blown machine shop and an electrical controls department that handles all of the wiring.
