Position Summary
Faculty needed with expertise in animal surgery. Particularly, performing the left anterior descending (LAD) branch of the coronary artery (LAD) ligation model of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury in mice,

Duties & Responsibilities

Contribute to the devise, plan, document and perform experiments on the 2 projects related to vascular pathological changes and mechanisms in the arteriosclerosis or diabetes research area.
Generate data for grant applications, prepare manuscripts for publications, and present scientific findings.
Train and supervise post-doctoral fellows, graduate students, undergraduate students, and technical staff.
Develop and perform surgical procedures in mouse myocardial ischemia-reperfusion (MI/R) model and diabetes model.
Serve for human blood research in the department of Pharmacology as Phlebotomist with the license of national health association (NHA).
Perform other related duties and participate in the projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications
MD or PhD degree in health, biological or chemical sciences, or a related field of study

Preferred Qualifications
Candidate should have at least 3 year experience in the relevant field, a record of high productivity, to be able to independently design and carry out experiments.
