We are seeking a Video Editor to join our client’s team in Chicago, Illinois. This role will primarily focus on producing a wide range of video content to support a Spanish-speaking educational curriculum. The Video Editor will utilize their expertise in Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro to create and edit videos, ensuring they are engaging and meet the needs of the intended audience. This is a short-term contract position.

Responsibilities:

- Edit and slice videos to create instruction material that supports the Spanish-speaking curriculum.

- Use Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro to create engaging video content.

- Work with a variety of video formats and adapt them for specific uses.

- Translate content to Spanish to ensure it is accessible for Spanish-speaking audiences.

- Work in a collaborative environment using Google Suite to share and receive feedback on work.

- Handle all aspects of post-production processes.

- Ensure all video content follows the overall style and theme of the curriculum.

- Address and resolve any issues or inquiries related to video editing.

- Maintain an organized workflow and meet deadlines for video content production.

- Continuously improve video editing skills and stay updated with industry trends.

- Demonstrated video editing skills with a strong portfolio.

- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively manage time.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish as well as translate Spanish to English.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to make creative decisions.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

- Comfortable receiving feedback and making necessary changes.

- Knowledge of current industry trends and techniques in video editing.
