We are on the hunt for a bilingual Accounting Assistant to be a part of our finance team in PALATINE, Illinois, United States. This indispensable role will involve maintaining precise financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and handling payroll. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain precise financial records and manage accounts payable and receivable

- Efficiently process payroll while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations

- Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and maintain payroll records

- Prepare and submit payroll taxes and other related reports

- Ensure accurate calculation of wages, tax withholdings, and company deductions

- Manage accounts payable by processing vendor invoices and ensuring timely payments

- Verify and reconcile discrepancies in vendor statements

- Generate and send out invoices to customers in the accounts receivable role

- Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities

- Perform account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and post and reconcile bank transactions

- Prepare financial reports as required by management and assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts

- Support the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with auditors as needed

- Use accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites proficiently, particularly Excel and Outlook

- Execute accounting functions and billing functions, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Requirements

- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

- Experience with ADP – Financial Services

- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

- Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook

- Demonstrated ability in Accounting Functions

- Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)

- Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

- Experience with Billing Functions

+ Audit experience or internship is a huge plus
