Engineering Manager – Pipeline Integrity
WEC Business Services, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking an Engineering Manager – Pipeline Integrity for our Gas Pipeline Integrity Team at our Chicago Training Center location. This position offers flexibility for a hybrid work arrangement (remote/on-site) with time spent in the Chicago office.
Job Summary
The Engineering Manager, as part of the Pipeline Integrity and Corrosion Control Group, leads a team of engineering supervisors, engineers, and support staff responsible for complex engineering projects. The Pipeline Integrity group contributes to the safe and reliable operation of the natural gas systems through proactive pipeline inline and external assessments, accumulating data to develop risk based prioritized maintenance plans, and managing the completion of compliance requirements. This group has the opportunity to engage with various departments of the gas utility business units to improve process flows, observe field activities, and validate results with subject matter experts.
Job Responsibilities
+ Manage team of employees to ensure completion of the pipeline integrity program and corrosion control requirements at Peoples Gas per applicable codes and standards.
+ Provide organizational direction for Gas Pipeline assessments, analyzing results, and determining remedial actions.
+ Oversee data acquisition processes utilized in Pipeline Integrity Programs to be used in risk ranking of gas facilities.
+ Provide direction for gas pipeline system proactive replacements based on risk ranking processes.
+ Engage with WEC Energy Group integrity peers to develop and implement consistent best practice integrity programs.
+ Manage budgets associated with Pipeline Integrity Programs.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
+ 7+ years of relevant engineering experience
+ Demonstrated experience leading or supervising others
