Skill Set
Experience with Remote Circuit Grooms.
Candidates will be responsible for remotely accessing equipment and following cut sheet directions for writing the scripts so that successful circuit grooms will be performed. This work is primarily done during the maintenance window but there are times that work is done during the day. Attention to detail is essential.
Grooms Tech
- Pre-configure new circuit ports and logical cross-connections
- Pretest new logical circuit paths
- Resolve design discrepancies with the Planner
- Perform Remote Logical Grooms of Transport circuits from old to new paths – comprehensive experience with wide variety of network equipment required
- Validate grooms are successful with no outstanding alarms – (this is where the rubber meets the road)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills necessary
- De-provision old circuit path and ports
- Location remote anywhere, though strong preference Tulsa given most customer points of contact will be at the Ctl/Level 3 Tulsa office.
- Minimal, though initially high as person comes up to speed.
